Verstappen reveals he had a conversation with Russell after their conflict

Max Verstappen's and George Russell's row may have started in Qatar, however, it has managed to seep into the winter break. In Viaplay's end-of-year interview the Dutchman was asked about the topic and he claims to "still feel that way".
In Viaplay's end-of-year interview, Simply Lovely, Verstappen was asked about whether or not he still felt he had lost all respect for the Mercedes driver, and the Dutchman's reply is blunt: "At that time I just felt that way and I still feel that way," adding that it was particularly dissapointing since Russell was a driver he'd had a good experience with up to that point.
Will the Verstappen - Russell squabble continue in 2025?
In the annual Hangar 7 interview on ServusTV, Verstappen revealed he had spoken to the Brit following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina: "We talked briefly after the race in Abu Dhabi and it will be fine next season. We are all ready for the Christmas break," the Dutchman added.
Daniel Ricciardo, Verstappen's former teammate at Red Bull and long time friend, also joked about the conflict. The now former F1 driver labeled the squabble as "great television" before going further and warning anyone not to "talk s***" about the four time world champion since he is "hitting his marks" at the moment. "I feel like it's a tough battle to win," Ricciardo said with his trademark smile.
