Michael Schumacher follows former teammate Jos Verstappen with great news
- Ludo van Denderen
Positive news were shared by the Schumacher family. Michael and his wife, Corina, are in fact becoming grandparents. It is not the former F1 driver, Mick, who will be a father, but his sister, Gina is expecting a baby. She also revealed she will have a girl, with the baby expected to be born mid-April 2025.
Gina is the youngest daughter of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher (55). The German, who has a successful career in equestrian, announced on Instagram that she will have a girl: 'Impatiently awaiting the arrival of our little girl,' Gina Schumacher shared. To that, 'future uncle' Mick responded with: "So excited", together with a heart emoji.

This very month, Max Verstappen also announced he will become a father for the first time. Michael Schumacher and Jos Verstappen were teammates in the early 1990s at Benetton, and it is no secret that the pair got on well together. The duo also gave interviews together about the sons becoming F1 drivers in the future back in the day.
