Early in the year, before the F1 season even started actually, Lewis Hamilton signed with Ferrari to become their driver as of 2025, a decision that has since broought about much debate in the F1 paddock. To fuel discussions even further, Hamilton made a statement with regards to his 'Ferrari red' future in the F1 season finale in Abu Dhabi, at least according to fans and the seven time world champion's former teammate and fierce rival, Nico Rosberg.

Hamilton showed up to the Yas Marina Circuit dressed in an all white outfit, resembling his uniform from his early Mercedes years. This was not the choice in outfit that Rosberg took issue with, but rather with the evolution that came during the following days.

Was Hamilton making a transition statement to the F1 paddock?

On Saturday the soon to be Ferrari driver appeared on track wearing a white shirt and red pants and coat which seemed to have a couple of washed out white areas on the sides. Then, on Sunday, Hamilton was seen wearing a completely red outfit making his way around the Abu Dhabi paddock. Fellow Mercedes world champion and former teammate to the Briton champion, Nico Rosberg, commented to Sky Sports about the matter.

"I find this decision very strange and inappropriate. It's a shame," said Rosberg, before adding that it was Hamilton's prerrogative. "It's his day, so it's okay. They (Lewis and Mercedes) celebrate and appreciate it, they still have a good relationship. But it's a small point that I think is a shame," concluded the former Mercedes driver.
