Last season Red Bull Racing had to battle with McLaren. Even off the track, both of the team's leaders, Christian Horner and McLaren CEO, Zak Brown also locked horns from time to team. The Briton told Talksport that he and Brown also have a history outside of Formula 1.

At the beginning of last season, Horner was accused of inappropriate behaviour. Brown voiced his opinion on this. Namely, he felt that more information should be shared about what exactly had happened. In the end, Horner was acquitted after an internal investigation.

Emotions sometimes ran high in the battle between the Austrian and British teams for the championship emotions sometimes ran high between the two. Max Verstappen always did everything he could to keep his title rival, Lando Norris, from overtaking him. This was to the displeasure of the McLaren team, with Brown and team boss Andrea Stella making harsh statements about the Dutchman's driving style.

Horner raced with Brown in Formula 3

Even though Horner and Brown are now leaders in their respective racing teams, the two actually raced against each other in the past. Horner was asked who would win if he, Brown, Toto Wolff and Fred Vasseur raced in equal cars. To this, the team boss replied, "Well, it's more about who's going to be second, really. I used to race with Zak. I didn't see much of him he was in the same race when we raced in Formula 3 many years ago, about 25-30 years ago. But he's getting a lot of practice in these days. He's always driving."
