We're settling into the new year, and there's even more F1 news to share. TAG Heuer has officially become F1's new timekeeper as Rolex bows out and LVMH Group takes charge. Red Bull revealed the date that they will reveal their 2025 challenger and a McLaren mechanic has moved to a rival team to take a high-profile role. See a bite of the daily news on GPblog now!

TAG Heuer takes the time

While TAG Heuer watches have always told the time, now the company will keep the time for Formula 1 from 2025 onward. This role has been held by Rolex since 2013, but the time has come for a switch. LVMH Group, which owns TAG, will also be supplying the champagne for the podiums now, with one of the brands they manage, Moët & Chandon, taking over.

Red Bull livery reveal

On February 18th, we will see the new RB21 at the F1 75 event. Red Bull Racing and the other nine Formula 1 teams will launch their cars. The team took to their Instagram to post the graphic below, promoting the event. It is still unclear if they will hold their own official launch.

McLaren mechanic moves to Aston Martin

Former McLaren mechanic Marc Cox will join Aston Martin for the 2025 season. Cox was with McLaren until 2021 when he decided to move on to the next chapter of his life. Now, he will be joining the grid again in 2025. He has not been the only high-profile team member to make moves, as it was announced during the 2024 season that Adrian Newey has also decided to join Aston Martin.
