Horner weighs in on 2025's 'fine margins'
- Savannah Lenz
Red Bull Racing finished third overall in the 2024 World Constructors' Championship. While Max Verstappen clinched his title, Red Bull will be working their way back up to retake their win back from McLaren. Which is something Christain Horner thinks will be an out right battle.
Will 2025 be a challenge for Red Bull?
Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner explained how he thinks the 2025 season will go down for Red Bull Racing. Right after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Horner expressed how the end of 2024 would affect the beginning of 2025.
As Ferrari overtook Red Bull in terms of the constructors, Horner mentioned their performance, specifically Charles Leclerc. "If you looked at points since the summer break until before this race, I think they were even or maybe Charles was very slightly ahead in terms of individual points scored." As far as the actual fight between the top teams, he continued, "You can see it's going to be massively close next year. You've got at least four teams that are going to be in contention in the last year of these regulations of winning Grand Prix."
2025 is the last year under the current regulations, as in 2026, there will be a massive overhaul. Horner points out who he thinks the winner will be. "So I think the biggest winner will be Formula One. I think that it's going to be fine margins everywhere."
Horner concluded, "Getting out of the blocks well is always imperative, but you can see it's such a long season that consistency will be key."
