The continued growth of Aston Martin under the ownership of Lawrence Stroll does not seem to be stopping any time soon. In 2024, huge signings were made at the top of the British team, seeing Adrian Newey join after leaving Red Bull Racing. A change in team principal has also been made before the 2025 season gets underway, seeing CEO Andy Cowell replace Mike Krack. Now, former Haas race engineer Gary Gannon has been brought over to the Silverstone-based team.

There has been a clear vision from Stroll about turning Aston Martin into a title-contending team, which is the hope in 2026. In September 2024, that vision and ambition were highlighted when master designer Newey came into the fold after leaving Red Bull, starting work at the British team on March 1, 2025, to focus on the 2025 and the 2026 cars.

Along with the Newey signing, Aston Martin also poached Enrico Cardile from Ferrari to become their new Chief Technical Officer, another huge move to outline the ambition of the Stroll-owned team. CEO Cowell will replace Krack in the position of team boss for the upcoming season too.

Ex-Haas engineer jumps ship to Aston Martin

But the recruiting and assembling of the 2025 team for Aston Martin is not yet completed, with a brand-new race engineer coming over to the Britsh team in the form of Gary Gannon, according to Autosport. Gannon, who was a part of Haas for ten years, left the American team after the 2024 season concluded, now finding a new job at the Silverstone-based team.

The American was partnered up with Nico Hulkenberg for the 2023 and 2024 seasons as the German's race engineer, working with Mick Schumacher and Romain Grosjean in his career as well. An Aston Martin spokesperson said that Gannon has joined its engineering team for 2025, but they are still yet to confirm whether he will be working with Lance Stroll or Fernando Alonso.
