Hamilton causes chaos as frenzied fans flock to Maranello

Lewis Hamilton's first visit to Maranello as a Ferrari driver generated immense excitement amongst the Tifosi. The seven-time F1 world champion was greeted warmly by the passionate fans who flocked to Ferrari's headquarters in large numbers. More fans are expected throughout the week as they hope to catch a glimpse of their new driver.
Hamilton causes frenzied Ferrari fans in Maranello
On January 20, Hamilton arrived in Maranello. He was introduced to his new F1 team at the Ferrari factory and was officially welcomed by his new team boss, Fred Vasseur. Ferrari bosses John Elkann and Benedetto Vigna also welcomed Hamilton in Maranello. Reportedly, Hamilton's former physiotherapist Angela Cullen is also staying nearby Fiorano.
Fans also travelled en masse to Maranello and are expected to do so throughout the week as they hope to get a glimpse of their new hero on the Fiorano circuit for the first time. Maranello's mayor, Luigi Zironi, asked for a higher police presence to make sure that all still runs smoothly despite the chaos.
