Musical forced to stop due to work on Formula 1 circuit in Madrid

The musical Malinche by the artist group around Nacho Cano has been forced to stop due to work on the Formula 1 circuit in Madrid. The Spanish capital will be on the Formula 1 calendar from 2026, but this news does not bring celebrations for everyone, especially not for this musical group.
The musical Malinche is coming to an abrupt end due to the arrival of the Formula 1 circuit. "We have to move and end the show earlier than expected," Nacho Cano announced via social media. The reason? The place where the marquee of the theatre currently stands will be converted into part of the new Formula 1 circuit in Madrid.
Musical forced to quit by Formula One circuit
The musical's final performance is scheduled for March 2, 2025. After that, the group will have to look for a new location for the piece. Incidentally, the musical has been in dire straits for some time. Six months ago, producer Nacho Cano was arrested on suspicion of illegally hiring immigrants and violating labor rights.
In early 2024, it was officially announced that Madrid would host a Formula 1 race in 2026. The organisation IFEMA, which is responsible for the construction of the circuit, expects the first race to take place at the end of May 2026. It will be a semi-permanent circuit near the airport of the Spanish capital.
