F1 Exhibition's next location chosen: 'This region is crucial in the sport'
- Estéban den Toom
The Formula 1 exhibition will travel to Buenos Aires this year. Good news for Franco Colapinto fans, as the event will thus take place in the Argentine capital. Buenos Aires will be the fifth city to host the Formula One exhibition. It will all take place from March 22 to June 1.
After Madrid, Vienna, Toronto and London, this year's event will be held in Buenos Aires. The capital of Argentina has a population of more than three million people. After the exhibition in Buenos Aires, there will be a tour around South America. From the continent, of course, come big names in Formula 1 such as Juan Manuel Fangio, Ayrton Senna, Carlos Reutemann and Nelson Piquet. Talents Colapinto and Gabriel Bortoleto also played a role in choosing the venue for the event.
'Region plays crucial role in Formula 1'
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, said the following. "As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, the importance of acknowledging the sport’s history and heritage is even more poignant. Since the first show in Madrid, F1 Exhibition has been a great success in telling the story of Formula 1 and we are delighted it will make its South American debut in Buenos Aires. There has been a strong resurgence in support from the region and we cannot wait for fans to celebrate the pivotal role the region has played in defining our sport."
Jonathan Linden, producer of the F1 Exhibition is hugely excited. "We are delighted to announce Buenos Aires as the host city for the South American debut of The Formula 1 Exhibition. As Argentina’s vibrant capital, Buenos Aires boasts a rich Formula 1 heritage, including the storied Argentine Grand Prix and an impressive legacy of 26 Argentinian F1 drivers. With its dynamic blend of sports, culture, and entertainment, Buenos Aires is the perfect choice to launch this exciting new chapter of The Formula 1 Exhibition in South America."
