Arvid Lindblad misses out on his sixth victory in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship series after he finished second. While the Red Bull Racing junior still leads the championship, he has a lot riding on the line.

Lindblad misses out on win in Formula Regional Oceania

Arvid Lindblad has eyes on him everywhere as he is currently competing in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship to gain points for his super license. He is currently in the championship lead by a wide margin as he has finished on the podium nine times in only ten races. However, this time, he was not gracing the top podium step.

Despite starting in pole position and grabbing the fastest lap, Lindblad lost the lead at the start to Matías Zagazeta. Zagazeta got off to a better start and took Lindblad's lead. After which he did not relinquish.

Even though Lindblad kept him under pressure, he had no chance to regain his lead in the race. The safety car appeared after lap 16, when Michael Shin ended up in the gravel pit after a puncture. The race was flagged prematurely. Zagazeta took the win, with Lindblad in second and Nikita Johnson in third.

Zagezeta said, "It was a fantastic race, and we made a great start. The pace was super strong compared to everyone else, apart from Arvid, who was staying quite close behind. It’s fantastic to have a driver like Arvid in the championship as it pushes everyone to a higher level.”
