- Estéban den Toom
Son of famous footballer David Beckham and iconic Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has decided to explore a new way of life; race car driving. Beckham, 25 years-old, has joined Jaguar TCS Racing for the new 'Formula Evo Sessions' programme. This initiative offers high-profile personalities the chance to experience what it takes to be an elite Formula E driver. While it was already known that Beckham would be participating, the team which he would be with was not known before.
Only 1 day after his 26th birthday, Beckham will drive the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 for the first time at the Miami International Autodrome. He will participate in a two-day event on 5 and 6 March 2025, where he and several other celebrities will take on the challenge of experiencing what it means to become a race car driver and experience the high-speed thrill of it all. In the weeks before the event, Beckham will receive intensive one-to-one coaching from Jaguar TCS Racing driver and multiple race winner Mitch Evans. This preparation will include simulator training and physical fitness training.
Beckham gets help from Mitch Evans
Beckham himself is eager to begin. "I’ve loved motorsport all my life, so when the opportunity came to be a part of Evo Sessions with Formula E and Jaguar, I jumped at the chance. I love it as a sport, but it’s an incredible opportunity to actually get behind the wheel and experience what it takes to compete at the top level of motorsport. The performance of the cars is insane, so I’m pleased I’ll be learning from the current team’s World Champions, Jaguar and from multiple race‑winner Mitch Evans how to get the most out of the I‑TYPE 7. It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity and one I’m looking forward to sharing."
Team principal James Barclay als looks forward to seeing what Beckham can bring. "We’re really excited to be partnered with Brooklyn Peltz Beckham for this project, and I’m really looking forward to giving him first‑hand insight into the team and the Jaguar I‑TYPE 7. As one of the world’s leading racing drivers, Mitch Evans will be a fantastic coach to help Brooklyn get up to speed with our race car to give him the best experience possible of what the pinnacle of electric racing is."
