Alain Prost has criticised Netflix's series titled 'Senna' quite clearly. Talking to Italian RMC Motori, the four-time world champion explained that the series lacked reality and that it was therefore insensitive given the Brazilian champion's importance in the sport.

Rivalry between Senna and Prost

Over the last season in F1, teams and drivers remembered the 30th anniversary of the death of Senna. The driver passed away in 1994 at the San Marino Grand Prix. On Lap 7, the three-time world champion crashed at the Tamburello corner.

Over the late 1980s and the early 1990s, Prost and Senna were great rivals. The two drivers had a fierce rivalry, and on two occasions, a crash decided the drivers' title in Suzuka after they made contact. In 1989, Prost was crowned, while Senna could respond a year later when he claimed his second championship at the time.

Prost on former rival Senna's Netflix series

Last year, Netflix also released the series titled 'Senna' about the Brazilian Formula 1 driver's eventful life. Prost is not fond of the series, he revealed: "I'm sure Ayrton would not like it, not least because it shows a lack of sensitivity. It's a great story, but you shouldn't just tell things that aren't true. If you do something commercial, it's not nice to do it with Senna's name. I don't like it and I don't accept it," the Frenchman explained.
