Oliver Bearman is feeling optimistic heading into his first full Formula 1 season. The 19-year-old has admitted that a podium with the American team would be a 'dream'. Alongside Esteban Ocon, Bearman is hoping that Haas can continue its upward trend. If so, a podium is clearly not out of the equation.

Bearman: 'A podium with Haas would be a dream'

“I hope I can get stronger and more comfortable with my performances,” Bearman revealed in an interview with Forbes. “It’s tough to make up my expectations because we have no idea how our performances will be in the races. My dream is to get on the podium with Haas. I hope we have the car to do it and that I’m performing at a high enough level to score good positions with the team."

Bearman can no longer be considered a rookie in Formula 1. He made three appearances in the sport last year. The first with Ferrari in place of Carlos Sainz at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, and the other two with Haas in place of Kevin Magnussen at the Azerbaijan and Brazilian Grands Prix respectively. "When I did those two races for Haas, I already knew I would be racing for them this year. It was a great opportunity to have a practice run and get to know everyone.”

Bearman will make his first public appearance alongside teammate Esteban Ocon at tonight's F1 75 live event at the O2 arena in London, where all 10 teams will reveal their liveries for the 2025 season. Amongst the reveals, artists including Take That and Machine Gun Kelly will perform in an unprecedented event which involves all 20 drivers as well as their respective teams. The show kicks off at around 8pm GMT.
