With the 2025 Formula 1 season fast approaching, Liam Lawson is preparing for a significant challenge ahead. As Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull Racing, Lawson will step into a full-time role with the team for the first time. Speaking a day before the F1 75 live event, where all the teams will unveil their liveries for the new season, the Kiwi shared his thoughts on what lies ahead, expressing his admiration for the Milton Keynes-based team's legacy.

Liam Lawson has replaced the outgoing Sergio Pérez at Red Bull Racing for the 2025 Formula 1 season. As Verstappen's new teammate for the final season under the current regulations, Lawson brings valuable experience from his time with the Red Bull family. Reflecting on the opportunity, the New Zealander acknowledged the fortune of having had prior experience with Red Bull.

"So I got to see how the team operates and it's, as you'd expect, very professional, but I think very calm mostly is something that I of notice the most compared to maybe other teams I've seen. It's just a very… Everybody's very calm and methodical, and everything's basically working in harmony," Lawson told Red Bull Racing.

Lawson comments on Red Bull's chemistry

"It's quite cool to observe whether you're watching a Pit Stop being done, whether you listen to communication during a session between the engineers, between Christian and the guys on the wall. It's really cool to sort of witness that and see they all very, very experienced and obviously, the car's fast. They build a fast race car," Lawson explained.

"I’m excited, obviously, big opportunity. And yes, obviously I’ll do my absolute best behind the scenes, working as hard as possible to make everybody proud. So thank you for supporting. Yeah, I'm just excited to get into it," he concluded.
