Brown sets ambitious goal for the 2025 Drivers' title: "Why not be greedy?"
F1 News

Last year's Constructors' championship has breathed confidence back into the McLaren structure, and thus, ahead of the 2025 season, the team's CEO, Zak Brown, has revealed what the target for Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in the 2025 Drivers' title is.
That McLaren will settle for nothing but the absolute best, Brown made that perfectly clear when speaking to select media, including GPBlog, ahead of the F1 75 Live event. "We'd like to go for the Constructors and the Drivers World Championship," a confident Brown stated, before revealing the team's "collective goal" for the 2025 F1 season. "And why not be greedy and have that be 1-2 and let Lando and Oscar decide who's 1 and who's 2."
That Brown has faith in his drivers, is no secret, especially with how he sees the "closer than ever" 2025 season shaping up. "I think, as the drivers just said, this season should be epic and even closer than last year. So I'm anticipating eight different winners. I think last year we had seven. Four different teams won. I wouldn't be surprised with how competitive it is."
Brown predicts outlier winner in 2025
With the field growing ever closer, and having seen four different teams take wins in 2024, the American CEO ventures a bold prediction. "Every weekend last year, while the top four teams were always at the front, there always seemed to be someone that was able to disrupt. So I expect that to be happening again. So I wouldn't be surprised if there was more than four teams that won. So I think we're in store for an epic Formula One season," concluded Brown.
