Lawson in action for Red Bull: Here are the first pictures!
Liam Lawson has driven a Red Bull car for the first time in 2025. It was not the RB21, though, since this year's car will undergo a shakedown at the Sakhir International Circuit tomorrow. Nevertheless, the New Zealander did drive one of the Austrian team's gems, an absolutely dominant beast: the RB19.
Red Bull is keeping all its cards close to its chest. As such, the Austrian team has chosen not to let its rivals have even so much as a glance at its 2025 car until the very last day before winter testing takes place: Tuesday, 25 February. When will Max Verstappen and Lawson be behind the wheel of the RB21, is still anybody's guess.

However, the New Zealander did get the chance to acclimitise himself to a Red Bull car, taking the RB19 though its paces at the Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit, in Spain, a track which has seen its fair share of F1 action this winter.
Verstappen has not yet driven any Red Bull car, with the four time world champion scheduled to drive during the RB21's shakedown and then again on Wednesday morning during the first day of winter testing in Bahrain. In the afternoon, Lawson will take over from his teammate, only to sit out the Thursday, which will be solely for Verstappen, with the New Zealander taking over the activity on Friday, the last day of winter testing..
