Aston Martin share updates on Lance Stroll

Ahead of the session, Aston Martin have reported that their Canadian driver will not drive the AMR25, and that Alonso will suit for the morning session in Sakhir.

"Overnight Lance wasn’t feeling 100%. Fernando will now drive the car this morning and we’ll confirm our line-up for this afternoon in due course," the team first explained.

Since then, it was also confirmed that Stroll will be in action during the afternoon session. "Lance is returning to the cockpit this afternoon to conclude the Test for the team," the second update explained.

It was not the most straightforward start to the session for Alonso. After the Spaniard entered the pit lane for a brief modification, he had to stop just ahead of entering the track. The mechanics had to bring back the AMR25 to the garage. Afterwards, the two-time world champion could continue.
