Norris declares bet's still on with Zak Brown for the title

Heading into the 2025 season, Lando Norris doesn't shy away from having the favourite tag on him and McLaren. The Briton hopes to claim his first ever F1 title this year, with an added reward also awaiting him for this achievement. The Briton declares CEO Zak Brown will have to live up to his words.
Talking to NBC News, the McLaren driver explained that the bet they made back after the 2024 Miami Grand Prix is still on. "Me and Zak actually have a bet for when I win a driver’s championship. And it’s not a cheap something. So I’m doing my best to make sure that that comes true." Previously, Norris already declared that it would be his dream car, although he did not confirm whether the terms remain the same or have since changed.
Moreover, Norris has clear evidence of the bet being made, so the McLaren CEO has no way out of it now. "It’s something we have video proof of, from several great guys. So it’s a bet that cannot be broken, that’s for sure. So I’m really going to do my best to make sure that he has to honour it," the driver underlined.
What tattoo would Norris choose for Brown?
Zak Brown has already made bets with his drivers in the past. For example, after Daniel Ricciardo won the 2021 Italian Grand Prix, the Australian driver could choose a tattoo for the American CEO. While according to Norris, tattoos seem to be out of question, he explained what he would selecet for Brown. "Something that would just remind him of our times. We’ve been with McLaren for a similar amount of time."
"So we do feel like we’ve grown as part of McLaren over the last few years and celebrated success last year. So it kind of means an equal amount for both of us. So probably just something simple. I’ll give him the choice of where it is, but it would just be the date or the amount of wins or something," he concluded.
