Villenueve in awkward toilet jam: 'Good start to the trip to Australia'
9 March at 18:06

Former F1 world champion, Jacques Villenueve, has started his voyage to Melbourne for the 2025 F1 season opener, the Australian Grand Prix, however, it is safe to say that not everything went according to plan for the Canadian.

Formula 1 is set to return to action in less than a week's time, when the Australian Grand Prix is scheduled to start the 2025 season, where Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will try to wrestle the Drivers' title from Max Verstappen who's had it in his grasp for the past four year.

Villeneuve, Williams Racing's newly appointed ambassador, was making his way to Melbourne for the first race of the season, when a bizarre situation took place: "Been stuck in the toilets for the last 20 minutes and security [are] incapable of getting me out."

The situation gets even worse for the Canadian former driver, turned analyst and ambassador. "Toilet [is] flushing every 30 seconds. Having a blast. Very impressive." All in all, Villenueve concludes. "Good start to the trip to Australia."

One of the comments below the Canadian's post, asks a curious question, "who locked you? Any suggestions?" Due to the sharp tongue on Villenueve, he's no stranger to ruffling feathers up and down the paddock, suggesting one of the Canadian's 'usual targets' may be behind his awkward toilet jam.
