Norris makes striking statement: 'This McLaren car doesn't suit me'
Despite the McLaren car appearing to be the fastest car on the grid at the moment, Lando Norris does not think the car suits his driving style at all. At the Australian Grand Prix, Norris was the fastest driver on the grid, as he crossed the finish line first in Melbourne. Norris does not care whether the McLaren car suits his driving style, as long as he gets a championship-winning car, the Englishman explained.
Norris explained on Thursday, ahead of the race weekend in China, that the car does not actually suit his style and how he deals with it. "It still doesn't suit at all my driving style. I think I've got to a point where I've just accepted you can't have really a car that suits your driving. Maybe it does suit some people's, but I kind of got to a point where I stopped maybe asking so much for exactly what I want and more just willing to do whatever makes the car quicker," said the McLaren driver.

"Some things are like, this is a McLaren for those reasons. But I think it's unique in certain aspects. And obviously, we have our strengths and weaknesses. And whenever someone has been at McLaren and gone to another team, they've often said how hard or odd McLaren has been to drive, whether that's Daniel [Ricciardo] or Carlos [Sainz]. But I just drive what I have to drive, as long as the car is fast and I can fight for wins," concluded the Bristol-based Briton.
