Gabriel Bortoleto and Jack Doohan have been asked to report to the Stewards' room following their clash at the hairpin at Turn 14 during the Sprint race in China.

The Brazilian and the Australian rookies were locked in a heated battle for P17 at the moment the incident occurred. The Alpine driver lunged up the inside of the Sauber driver in a rather opportunistic maneuver.

Halfway through the corner Doohan's A525 collected Bortoleto's C45 casing the Sauber car to spin. The incident prompted an investigation from the Stewards and as a result both drivers and their respective team representative were summoned to state their cases in front of the race officials.

It wasn't the only contact to be witnessed during the sprint race as Red Bull Racing driver Liam Lawson also made contact with Doohan himself in the early part of the race in a similar, albeit very much less on the limit, maneuver.
