Max Verstappen finished fourth in the qualifying session for the Chinese Grand Prix. Although he is still struggling with the RB21, this is a great result for the Dutchman, who managed to drag his car onto the second row.
"Tricky," Verstappen told Viaplay regarding the RB21 in qualifying. "Actually, again, the same problem we had yesterday. It's not the grip we want to have. The car is very easy to lose lap time with at certain points through the corner."
Verstappen expects little good for China Grand Prix
This in return, makes the Red Bull very unpredictable. "I'm somewhere different every run, so to speak. That also makes it very difficult. Just a very weird grip and very difficult to say just to be consistent with it."
At least the wind does not seem to be affecting him; he claims it's just one part of it all. "That's the same for everyone. But as I said, it's very difficult to tie everything together. Because you lose grip at other points all the time."
Verstappen still does not have high hopes for winning the Grand Prix, "I don't think very special. I don't think we can challenge them. In one lap, a lot is still possible, of course, but I don't think we can look forward."
