Max Verstappen has hinted at having an announcement on Instagram. Something special is in the making for the Japanese Grand Prix by the Red Bull Racing driver.
Verstappen hints at 'something special' for Japan GP
Onhis Instagram channel 'Verstappen.com', Verstappen sent in a special message on Monday morning. The Dutchman wrote, "Working on something special," together with a Japanese flag. On the same channel, the 'Verstappen.com' account also joined in, saying they are enthusiatic, and they also confirmed that the announcement will take place this Thursday.
It will be a special occasion, and this will be Honda's final home Grand Prix collaborating with Red Bull Racing. Next year, when the new set of regulations come into effect, the Japanese supplier will team up with Aston Martin, while Red Bull will put together their own engine together with Ford.
In addition to that, Verstappen has been performing well in Suzuka, and he never made it a secret that it is one of his favourite circuits. In the previous three seasons, only the Dutchman won at the event. At the moment, he is sitting eight points behind Lando Norris in the drivers' standings, with George Russell and Oscar Piastri close behind by one and two points respectively.
