Changes to Hungaroring ahead of schedule as Mansell honoured

The redevelopment of the Hungaroring is progressing ahead of schedule as the home of the Hungarian Grand Prix gears up for the next visit by Formula 1.
1000 construction workers are on hand daily to ensure the circuit is prepared for the latest iteration of the event, which is set for 3 August, before the summer break.
Tickets for the new-and-improved grandstands are expected to go on sale from next Monday [31 March], with the structure and framework on the grandstands nearing completion.
Ready for F1
The prefabricated base of the stands is already finished, with almost all the stairs assembled. This means that just the seats remain to be installed before the grandstands are fully complete.
The rebuilding of the paddock structure was finished by the end of February, with the creation of the base for both the ground and first floor now progressing. Of the 12 original towers, two now remain, though they will be demolished by the end of the month.
But not everything will be ready for when F1 rocks up later this year: Both the media centre and race control will be temporarily housed before completion following the race event. Renovations to the remaining buildings will continue once demolition work in the paddock has been finished.
Turn four will now be called Mansell corner, named after the British F1 champion and winner of the 1989 race in Hungary, as part of the circuit's 40th grand prix anniversary celebrations.
