Stroll claims he was "sent into the gravel" after contact with Lando Norris
Lando Norris and Lance Stroll collided to bring out the safety car during the Spanish Grand Prix. Stroll claims he was sent into the gravel, despite Norris thinking otherwise. The crash could have presented Lewis Hamilton with some problems, but the Brit nailed the restart.
The McLaren driver claimed Stroll left him no room, but the Racing Point driver said there was nothing he could do.
"I braked on the inside while he was on the outside and then I had to turn in to make the left-hand corner," Stroll said after the race.
“Unfortunately there is not enough space for two cars and there was not much I could do. I felt contact on my rear and I was sent into the gravel.”
The last time Stroll failed to finish a Formula 1 was the German Grand Prix, almost 12 months ago.
