Helmut Marko hasn't lost hope: "Max can win in Austria"
In the winter, Helmut Marko was certainly talking the talk. But so far, Red Bull haven't walked the walk with no race wins, and just a couple of podiums from Max Verstappen. However, the team advisor believes this will change this weekend as he hopes Verstappen can go and win the Austrian Grand Prix for the second year in a row.
Red Bull has supplied upgrades of their own, as well as engine upgrades from Honda. But still, they remain some distance from Ferrari and Mercedes. McLaren looked like a strong threat last time out in France. But Marko expects this to change from now onwards.
“I really believe that we will be competitive in the coming races and participate in stage. Hopefully also for a win," Marko told ORF.
The mayor of Spielberg stated earlier that he thinks Max Verstappen can win. Marko shares this opinion: “I agree. It may be a bit optimistic, but we may succeed. ”However, Red Bull also hopes to achieve another goal. They want to attract a huge number of spectators: "We hope to attract more than 200,000 spectators."
