How did the F1 teams react to Silverstone's new five-year deal?
On Wednesday afternoon, Formula 1 announced a new contract for Silverstone to host the British Grand Prix. The deal ensures the sport will continue to visit the Silverstone circuit until at least 2024. With the track being a favourite amongst fans, drivers and teams, we thought we'd share their reactions to the news.

SportPesa Racing Point is very pleased to be returning to their home circuit. The team is based at the circuit, and it's no surprise that they love the news about Silverstone's contract.

It's close to everyone involved in Formula 1 with all of the history made at the East Midlands venue. But it's that little bit closer to those involved and McLaren will be hoping for some more success in the next five years.

Of course Mercedes will be pleased, they've won five of the last six races at Silverstone!

And before those victories from Mercedes, it was Red Bull stepping on the top of the podium and celebrating the good times at their second home race.
