Daniel Ricciardo: "I might be able to have a crack at Vettel"
Daniel Ricciardo did well to qualify his Renault in 7th place during today's qualifying session and will be looking to overtake 6th placed Sebastian Vettel at the start of the Grand Prix. The two used to be teammates and it will be interesting to see which driver gets the better of the other. After the teams struggle last time out in Austria, Renault seems to be back in form and will hope for a double points finish during the race tomorrow.
"It was alright!" Ricciardo said to Sky Sports F1. "7th feels good. The lap itself was actually a little bit meh! There was a few corners where I could have done better so it actually wasn't perfect but once I was told we got 7th I was happy.
"I'm on the clean side of the grid so I might be able to have a crack at Vettel. Gasly, I'm not sure how he start but we will see how we go. Once the race settles I think 7th is really our battle."
If Ricciardo can get a clean start then he might find himself racing for a higher position but considering where they finished last race, just getting in the points will be a result.
