Vettel on qualifying disappointment: "I struggled to feel the car today"
Sebastian Vettel just couldn't get his car to perform during qualifying today and will hope that his race pace will be more competitive. Speaking after the session the Ferrari driver seemed down and deflated after yet another poor result this season. The German will start the race in 6th and will need to have a clean start if his to push for a podium finish.
"It didn't look great on my side," Vettel told the Official F1 Website when asked about his performance. "I struggled to feel the car today and just couldn't clock a fast time."
Both Ferrari's used the soft tyre for Q2 and when asked about this Vettel said, "in the end, I don't think there was a big difference between the tyres.
"It wasn't the best day."
Vettel wasn't positive about his race pace and thinks that a podium finish is unlikely and he will instead by battling with the Red Bulls.
"Mercedes should be the favourites. I think we'll have a fair battle with the Red Bull's and we will take it from there."
Performances like this just add to the talk that Vettel will be leaving the sport. He will hope for a good race tomorrow to end this talk.
