Verstappen accepts Vettel apology after wiping him out!
Sebastian Vettel has apologised to Max Verstappen for causing the crash that saw them both miss out on a potential podium place at the British Grand Prix.
Vettel and Verstappen were battling for third place at Silverstone when the Dutchman overtook the Ferrari man before Vettel responded going into Stowe. The German tried to dive down a gap on the inside but slammed his car into the back of the Red Bull.
Both cars spun out onto the gravel and lost any hopes of the podium. Vettel ended up behind both Williams in P16 as well as being handed a ten second penalty whilst Verstappen salvaged P5.
After the race Verstappen put any argument to bed saying as quoted by PlanetF1: "I spoke to him, he apologised immediately after he got out of the car, so that’s it. You can’t change your line."
