Vettel hit with penalty points following Verstappen crash!
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel has had two penalty points added to his licence following his crash with Max Verstappen at the British Grand Prix.
Vettel and Verstappen were battling hard over third place when the Dutchman got past, but on the run into Club corner, Vettel locked both the fronts and went into the back of Verstappen, in a similar fashion to Daniel Ricciardo on the same driver in Azerbaijan last season.
Vettel received a ten second time penalty for the incident and finished way outside the points and he has now been given two penalty points, taking his current tally to six in the last 12 months.
Drivers will be subjected to a race ban if they reach 12 in a year.
