Lando Norris assures fans he'll be fit for Belgian Grand Prix despite injury scare
Lando Norris has assured fans he will be fit to race at the Belgian Grand Prix despite revealing he has a leg injury and his leg is in a boot.
Norris has impressed during his debut season in F1 having made the step up to the pinnacle of motorsport after finishing second to fellow rookie George Russell last season. Alongside Carlos Sainz he has helped McLaren strengthen their grip on the best of the rest position in the Constructors' Championship.
The Brit is tenth in the Drivers' equivalent with 24 points but he has been unlucky at times this season as he plays a supporting role to Sainz. Nonetheless, he has shown great talent and has a very good qualifying record.
The McLaren driver told fans on streaming service Twitch that he had picked up an injury but didn't reveal how it happened. He appeared fit enough to attend the Moto GP at Silverstone over the weekend without the boot.
