Ross Brawn makes a comparison between Charles Leclerc and Michael Schumacher
Ross Brawn has made a link between Charles Leclerc and Michael Schumacher after the young Ferrari driver won the Italian Grand Prix last weekend. Many criticized some of Leclerc's driving but Brawn believes that pushing the limits is part of what makes a great champion.
"Leclerc did not surrender in the race and pushed the boundaries of the rules, as great champions must always do," says Brawn in his race review after the Italian Grand Prix. "In fact, he was also very cunning in the way he dealt with the bizarre situation during qualifying.
“The thing that impresses me the most is how quickly Leclerc learns from the things he does. He is getting better, as a driver and as a person."
The technical director of Formula 1 also hinted at the future of the Ferrari driver. "The last Ferrari man to win Spa and Monza back-to-back was Michael Schumacher in 1996. Perhaps history is starting to repeat itself..."
