VOTE: Who do you think will win the 2019 Japanese Grand Prix?
It has been a topsy-turvy weekend in Japan with sport bowing to the presence of Typhoon Hagibis. However, we are set for a bumper Sunday of F1 action in Japan with qualifying and the race all taking place within a few hours of each other.
With qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix very much still up in the air, we could see the starting grid be determined by Friday's second practice session. The session saw Mercedes secure a front-row lockout as teams scrapped for starting position knowing qualifying might not take place. Max Verstappen beat the Ferrari pair to third with Alex Albon sixth in what could be the most important second practice session the drivers' experience.
Of course, FP2 might mean very little with qualifying still scheduled for 2AM BST.
Who will win the Japanese Grand Prix?
Having dominated the early sessions, Mercedes will be hot favourites for the race at Suzuka but with the form Ferrari have shown recently, they can't be ruled out. Red Bull will want a good result at Honda's home race but whether they can produce one is another question.
