Sainz has only known progress since arriving at McLaren
McLaren have been head and shoulders above the rest of the midfield in 2019 with Carlos Sainz being their leading man this season. The Spaniard believes it has been nothing but progress since he arrived.
McLaren are leading the best of the rest battle with a healthy advantage over their nearest rivals, Renault and Toro Rosso. With only one race remaining the partnership of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris looks to helped the team make huge progress this year.
Sainz himself has been particularly impressive, currently in seventh in the Drivers' Championship level on points with sixth place Pierre Gasly, both drivers have 95 points. Since his arrival from Renault, the Woking-based team have progressed ahead of Sainz's former team.
"For as long as I've been in this team it's been a constant upwards curve," Sainz told Motorsport.com.
"That is obviously a very attractive thing to have and not something that you see a lot in Formula 1.
"I am very happy and very proud of what this team is doing. It's obviously very, very early to think about 2021 but it's not a secret that I'm very happy in this team.
"I think both parties are very happy with each other and at the moment for me there's nowhere else to look around."
