Leclerc: "We're not going to make it, Seb is slowing down"
For the second time in Formula 1 season, Charles Leclerc missed out on his final flying lap of the Abu Dhabi qualifying session. His teammate, Sebastian Vettel, was in front of him when he crossed the line.
Leclerc alluded to the slowing down of Vettel and the backlog, but the man from Monaco was more relaxed in his interview with Sky Sports.
"We're not going to make it, Seb is slowing down," said Leclerc over team radio.
"It is life sometimes it happens, I don't know if the situation was unlucky or we could've done something better. I need to finish in front of Max for the championship," Leclerc told Sky Sports after the session.
More trouble at Ferrari? The two drivers collided at the last Grand Prix while the two have had some team orders throughout the 2019 F1 season.
