Rosberg: "Hamilton's only step would be to win a world championship with Ferrari"
Nico Rosberg isn't sure whether Lewis Hamilton will move to Ferrari, but he believes it's the only step-up for the F1 world champion. There's been a lot of talk as to whether Hamilton is interested in a deal at Ferrari and even Toto Wolff says there's a 25% chance the Brit will look for a deal with the Italians.
Seeing as Hamilton has achieved almost everything within the sport, Rosberg believes the only thing left would be to win a world championship with Ferrari. But the 2016 F1 world champion is unsure if the move will happen.
"Of course, Ferrari is absolutely legendary and he's done the legendary Mercedes team and won so many championships so his only next step in his career would be to win a world championship with Ferrari," Rosberg says in his most recent vlog.
"Therefore, I'm sure he would consider it depends as well if Ferrari are willing to pay enough money and if they do a decent enough season next year and it depends on many other things but I think it's possible."
Hamilton will turn 35 in January and is contracted until the end of the 2020 season at Mercedes. He will be 36 by the time the 2021 season rolls around, but he insists he still feels fresh.
