Esteban Ocon looking forward to more battles with Max Verstappen in 2020!
Esteban Ocon says he is ready to battle Max Verstappen on track once again, claiming that the pair's Brazilian skirmish in 2018 is behind them. Ocon rejoins the sport in 2020 with Renault, replacing the outgoing Nico Hulkenberg.
Ocon was widely regarded as one of F1's brightest young talents during his time at Force India/Racing Point, but was edged out of the team in favour of Lance Stroll in 2019, spending the year as Mercedes' reserve driver.
One of the most notable moments of the Frenchman's career to date was when he crashed with race leader Verstappen at the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2018.
Trying to unlap himself,Ocon made contact with the Red Bull man, causing the pair to spin and Lewis Hamilton cruised through to take victory.
Ocon told Le Figaro newspaper: "I'm happy to race all the drivers again.
"It is true that I fought my entire career with Max, but what happened in Brazil last year was a big, big thing on the outside but not so serious on the inside.
"Despite what happened, we have respect for each other. The page has been turned and we will fight each other on the track again."
