Jamie Chadwick on Williams: "Latifi's promotion shows that I'm in the right place"
Jamie Chadwick is looking to become the first female Formula 1 driver in recent times and she is definitely on the right track. She has been re-signed as a Williams development driver and has been inspired by the journey of Nicholas Latifi who will make his Formula 1 debut next season. She is hoping to follow in his footsteps and race on the F1 grid before too long.
“F1 is my ultimate goal and if you see what Nicholas has achieved, then that makes it a little more achievable for me. How I want to build my career and what I want to achieve is comparable to his trajectory," Chadwick said to Motorsport.com.
“It's great to see for me. His promotion shows that I am in the right place to reach my goal in one day.”
Chadwick still needs a super license if she is to race in Formula 1 and will race in the W Series once again to try and get the points she needs for the license.
If Williams do promote her then they will get a lot of publicity and could help the small team get back to the top of the sport.
