Perez adamant there is "huge potential" at Racing Point
2019 may have been a mixed season for Racing Point and Sergio Perez but the Mexican is confident the 2020 season will see Racing Point show their true potential as they look to challenge more in the midfield.`
After a lacklustre first half of the season, Sergio Perez showed his class in the second lot of races and went on to finish the 2019 Formula 1 season, tenth in the Drivers' Championship. His teammate, Lance Stroll finished in 15th.
Perez is adamant there is plenty of potential for Racing Point and is targeting the rule changes as a chance to mix it at the top.
"There is very big, huge potential in this team," Perez told Motorsport.com.
"I think next year [2020] we should be able to see it.
"I don't think there is a team that can grow as much as this one already for next year [2020], and [the new ruleset in] 2021 is a big opportunity for us to mix with the big boys.
