Lawrence Stroll reportedly close to £200 million Aston Martin investment

Lawrence Stroll, team owner of SportPesa Racing Point and father of driver Lance, is reportedly close to investing £200 million pounds into Aston Martin, which would get him a major stake in the company.
Aston Martin have suffered majorly in recent times since they listed at London's main market in October 2018, with just 26% of their value remaining after initially trading at 1700p per share when listed.
Stroll is interested in making an investment, Bloomberg report, with the Chinese holding, which already owns Lotus among other companies, backing out of a potential takeover.
The Canadian himself has not yet commented on the reports and whether his Formula 1 team would undergo another name change should he make an investment. Aston Martin, of course, are already the title sponsor of a different team, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, and it's unclear how a potential Stroll takeover would influence Red Bull's deal with the supercar makers.
