It was the Monegasque's first season at the Scuderia and he outscored teammate Sebastian Vettel, leading to many ex-drivers and pundits praising him.

Is F1 boring? Alesi says no...
F1 has been accused of being boring in recent years, but Alesi disagrees, adding: “I don’t agree with people that says it’s boring. It’s simply that we watch it differently. We are spoiled remembering great races from the past.
“But now drivers are all very well trained and prepared, the races are faster and more powerful. Every race those drivers give you great battle and I love it.”
