All the AlphaTauri equipment that was present in Australia for what should have been the first Grand Prix of the season only just arrived at the airport of Milan on Wednesday. However, the equipment cannot be delivered to the factory, so the Italian police have to help the Italian F1 team a bit.

DHL normally delivers the trucks and all other materials for the door to the factory in Faenza, but the transport company could not do that at the moment. "We had a long talk with DHL, but in the end we had to ask the police for permission to pick up our stuff. We've arranged all that now."

Factory closed for at least three weeks from this week

AlphaTauri employees will now pick up the materials themselves. From that moment on, the factory of the Italian race stable will be closed for at least 21 days. "Our staff will go there themselves and after that, the factory will be closed", Tost announces at Motorsport-Total.com.

AlphaTauri haven't seen a single employee become infected with the coronavirus so far. The team of Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat also quickly took measures in mid-February. "We didn't let the workers who came from the government-declared 'red zones' come to the plant. We told them to stay home and work there! During the winter tests in Barcelona, we also did not receive all the guests who came from high-risk areas", concludes the Austrian chief.
