Racing Point: Leave for employees and drivers surrender salary voluntarily
- GPblog.com
According to the BBC, Racing Point is the third race stable in Formula 1 that has decided to send part of its staff on temporary leave. Journalist Andrew Benson will announce this on Monday afternoon via his Twitter channel.
So the team of millionaire Lawrence Stroll also has to cut costs. One of the things the British formation wants to do is send staff home. How many employees are involved, has not (yet) been brought out. Earlier, McLaren and Williams announced that they would do the same.
Lance Stroll and Sergio Perez, as drivers, are said to be giving up part of their salary on a voluntary basis. This type of measure should ensure that Racing Point is financially healthy when Formula 1 is resumed.
