Everyone in Formula 1 is waiting for the sign of life of FOM. When will the season finally start again, where will one start and how will that happen? The teams don't know anything yet and that seems to stay that way for a while.

At least that's what Andreas Seidl said. McLaren's team boss would like to race again, because a large part of his staff has also been sent on leave, but he realises all too well that this won't happen by itself. Seidl already sounded the alarm earlier, but is looking for possibilities to race.

When are we going to race?

''It's a difficult subject these days, because the most important thing now is to protect our people. When we can race really depends on the guidelines per country. If we are allowed to travel and enter countries again, then you can only speak of a possible race again'', Seidl talks to Formula 1.

''If you know what the countries are doing, you always have to look at the promoters. Of course the dates change of the races and that is commercially quite a big point for the organizers of the races", says Seidl, but that puts the most important point to the fans and viewers of the sport.

Everything for the fans

"You'll just have to see if the public accepts that we're racing again. We have to be able to do everything we can to do this safely and the fans have to accept that as well. If they don't, no one will look at the races and that's exactly what you're doing it for'', although Seidl is not particularly concerned about that attention.

''There is a lot of demand for races from the fans at the moment. They are mostly at home now and can't wait to see sports moments on television again. On television then, but everything is better than nothing. However, there is still a lot to be done before we can achieve that'', concludes Seidl.
