Buemi in the breach for Marko: ''He never meant it like that''

Helmut Marko got ome heavy critisim after he made statements about the coronavirus. An idea had arisen to deliberately infect drivers with COVID-19, but in the meantime a lot of people have jumped into the breach for the Austrian.
The Red Bull Junior
So did Sebastien Buemi. The Swissman himself entered the Red Bull Racing track at a young age and still falls under Marko's wings. Buemi joined Toro Rosso in 2009 in Formula 1 and was active there for three years. However, with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber stuck in Red Bull's seats, Buemi had nowhere to go.
Afterwards Buemi won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but he is mainly the trendsetter in the new Formula E class. There he wins many races, becomes champion in 2016, but also second in 2015, 2017 and 2019. As a driver in Formula E, he wasn't called up by Marko, but he will take care of it.
Buemi in the breach for Marko
''I read it in the newspaper, but it only affected the four Formula 1 drivers. I don't think he ever meant it that way'', Buemi says to Blick, who is still training very hard at the moment.''I'm following a busy program of four weeks to stay as fit as possible. I hardly ever go outside, because inside I have everything I need to be able to cycle'', Buemi says.
The Swiss hopes to be able to ride again soon. ''I have hope for July or August. You can't plan anything at the moment and especially flying is a big question mark. In Formula E you could just organise six or seven more races, but you have to do that outside the big cities'', Buemi concludes.
