Leclerc hates races without an audience: ''You're gonna miss that support anyway''

Nobody knows yet when the Formula 1 season will start, but it is clear that it will be a short one. Charles Leclerc cannot wait for the start of the season and sees some advantages.
''Nobody knows how the situation will develop, but the number of Grands Prix will be significantly less than before. You will also be able to hold those races in short succession and that will create special circumstances. Drivers have to be ready for this and give all per race'', Leclerc opposes Auto, Motor und Sport.
Full on the attack
Leclerc has already devised a tactic to attack favourite Lewis Hamilton. ''Mercedes and Lewis are favourites, but with fewer races you can take more risk on the track and with your strategy. It won't be an easy year because when we start we won't stop and drivers will have to stay extra concentrated to achieve good performances", says the Ferrari driver.
However, without fans it will be different according to Leclerc. ''It will not feel like normal, because you really see and feel that support. However, I prefer to race without an audience, rather than not racing at all. We'll have to focus more on entertaining the people sitting at home'', concludes Leclerc.
