Bottas has only one purpose: ''As a little kid, I dreamt of that world title''

The season is still a bit quiet for the time being, but when Formula 1 starts again one man is keen on success: Valtteri Bottas. The Finn had his best season so far in 2019, but is aiming for his dream in 2020.
Burnout for Bottas
''At a time when you can't do what you like, you can learn a lot. You now have much more rest to come to yourself and that can be a good lesson for all of us'', Bottas begins in the 'Dive Deep' video from Mercedes. Bottas has not really been able to fight Lewis Hamilton in recent years, but he knows what he has to improve.
''I still have some things to improve on my driving style to achieve that one goal. You have to be open to learn from your mistakes. A season can be quite intense and I used to have a dip that I asked too much of myself. You can quickly bump into a burn-out in Formula 1, but nowadays I dare to do more wrong, which makes it easier to put the sport into perspective'', says Bottas.
On to the world title
Bottas was working for years to achieve his dream and certainly in his first two seasons at Mercedes everything was put aside to reach the top. It didn't work out and Hamilton won all the time, putting more and more pressure on Bottas. With a quiet home situation and nice things next to Formula 1, Bottas is now hoping for the next step.
''As a small child I already dreamed of the world title in F1 and I haven't been able to realise that dream yet. I feel that I am growing more and more and still working towards my peak. That keeps me motivated and every year I want to do everything possible to achieve that goal'', concludes the Mercedes driver.
