Christian Horner is glad that Max Verstappen doesn't have to sit still during the coronavirus. The Dutchman is busy sim racing and according to Horner that has a positive effect.
Due to the coronavirus, Formula 1 is at a standstill for the time being. It is expected that the season will start in July at the Spielberg circuit, but nothing is certain yet. In the meantime the drivers have to enjoy themselves at home and the simulator turns out to be a way out for many. Verstappen uses it frequently, to the delight of his team boss.
New hobby
''Those drivers can't sit still at all, so it's a good thing Max has found something he can work with. He's still pretty good at sim racing and it's really something of that generation. Those drivers might be racing against each other more often online than in real life,'' Horner opposes The Telegraph.
After months of sitting still, the drivers suffered quite a blow in Australia, Horner says. ''That was very hard for the drivers. You've trained for months to be ready for that weekend and the night before it will be cancelled'', Horner, who is able to report that his drivers are jumping to the start after all.
